ValidShop is a free tool that checks public information about web shops and shows a score from 0 to 100, with the findings behind it. It is meant to help you decide whether to buy somewhere. It is not legal, financial or consumer advice.

A score is the result of an automated check at one moment in time, shown with its date. It reflects what we could see on public pages. It does not mean a shop is safe, and a low score does not prove that a shop is fraudulent. Shops change, and so can their scores.

Always use a payment method that protects you, keep your order confirmation, and use your own judgement. You are responsible for the decision to buy.

You may use ValidShop for personal and business research. Please do not:

• run automated or bulk checks, or copy scores in bulk, without asking us first
• try to get around the limits on how many checks one person can run
• use the site to harass a business or to publish misleading claims about it
• attempt to disrupt the service or access data that is not yours

We may block access that breaks these rules.

If a page about your store is wrong, tell us through the contact form. We will look at what the scan saw and correct a mistake. We do not change a score because someone asks for it, and a score cannot be bought. You can also block our crawler to stop us from scanning your site.

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep results accurate and the site running, but we cannot promise that either is always the case. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow from relying on a score, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Store pages mention shops we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, products or conduct of those sites.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after that, the new version applies. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
